Elena’s compassionate and supportive approach helps clients to cope with overwhelming
struggles by providing warmth and non-judgmental acceptance to individuals. She helps
clients to engage their innate capacity to recover from stress, life-transitions, and to build
satisfying lives and healthy relationships. Elena’s casual, laid-back style sets her clients at
ease and makes it easy to open up to her.With a diverse background of experiences,
Elena has a strong background in helping people with mental health issues, including
depression, bipolar disorder, and other emotional disturbances. Additional experience
with trauma and abuse, sexual assault, anxiety, grief and loss, and gay/lesbian/bisexual
issues round out her diverse background. Elena offers practical, strengths-based,
solution-focused interventions while also exploring how the past impacts the present.

Elena’s experience includes work in a variety of therapeutic settings including mental
health clinics, rape crisis centers, mental health day programs, residential, school, and
hospice settings. Elena received her Masters in Social Work,
with honors, from Virginia Commonwealth University, is active in professional
organizations, and is licensed as a clinical social worker in Colorado.
